HOW CAN I POST AN AD ON ALSOUG.COM?

Posting an ad on alsoug.com is easy, quick and free! Simply click here or on the red “Post an ad!” button on the top of the screen and follow the instructions.

When you post an ad on alsoug.com, if you don’t already have an account with us which you are logged into, our system will automatically create an account for you, and send you an email with the username and password.

If you prefer to choose your own signup details, click here to register.

If you already have an account with alsoug, and you are logged into that account, when you post an ad that ad will automatically be added to your account. You can find it by going into the ‘My Ads’ section in ‘My Profile’ (or by clicking here).

Once your ad is published, our customer service team will check your ad (usually within 24 hours) and call you if they see anything in it of concern. 

*Note: Please make sure your contact details are correct before you publish your ad, otherwise no one will know how to reach you!

HOW CAN I CREATE AN ACCOUNT WITH ALSOUG.COM?

Creating a new account is easy (and of course, free)!

To start the process, either click on the green ‘Login/Register’ button at the top right hand side of the screen or click here. From there, you have two options:

1. Option 1: On the left-hand side of the screen, you’ll see a form titled ‘Register a new account”, all you have to do is fill in that form and then press the black ‘Register a new account’ button at the bottom.

2. Option 2: If you prefer to register using your Facebook account, you can click on the blue ‘Facebook login f’ button under the black ‘Register a new account’ button at the bottom. Note: this may not work if you are not already logged into Facebook on the device you are using.

You will only have to choose to log in to your Facebook account and the site will link your Facebook account automatically.You can access your profile at any time, add or edit your saved data, change your password and control your ads easily.

There are 4 very important steps to help you get the most customers on alsoug.com

1- Write a good title for your ad

The title is one of the first things customers see about your ad. If the title is not catchy or interesting, people won’t click on your ad to see the details. 
Use simple, straight-forward language and highlight the best or unique aspects of your product. 
For example, you could say "beautifully furnished high-end apartment with elevator and generator in Riyadh" or "used Land Cruiser V6 2017 in perfect condition".

‏‏2- Include good quality photos: 

You must upload attractive, high-quality images for your ad. If it’s a car, show the various angles, inside and out. For a property, show all the rooms, bathrooms, garage, gardens. If you are advertising a service or a job and there is no product to photograph, put your business logo, or an even a generic image of something related to the advert.  Remember: the first thing people see about your ad is the photo. No photo = less views = less customers

 
‏‏ 3- Provide enough information:

Provide enough information about the product. If the ad posting form asks for details like area or colour or model, make sure you include those accurately.  Then, in the ad details section, put as much info as you have about the product. You should ask yourself: if I was interested in this ad, what would I want to know? People use alsoug because they like the transparency and simplicity it provides. If your ad does not provide this, they will choose another ad. 
By including plenty of details, you will also ensure that you do not have different people calling you to ask you the same questions over and over. 

4- Put the right price:
Putting a real price is the one of the most important ways to attract customers. Remember, on alsoug, customers can compare many ads at once, so if your ad is very over-priced, they will most likely choose another ad. If you don’t put a real price (eg you put 0 or 1 sdg), people will think you are not serious about selling. Put a reasonable, sensible price and your goods or services will sell faster.
